Reflexology - Encouraging the Body to Heal Naturally

reflexology-treatment

Reflexology is a complementary health therapy that promotes deep relaxation and feelings of wellbeing, therefore having the effect of reducing stress. It is a touch therapy that is based on the theory that different areas or pressure points on the feet, correspond with different areas of the body, these points are gently worked upon during a treatment session.
A Reflexology treatment provides can be no doubt that what it does provide is a period for relaxation where your therapist offers you one to one attention and supportive touch in an empathetic listening environment.
The theory of reflexology is that all the systems and organs of the body are linked to a meridian system in which energy, often described as Chi or Prana, flows through, with the end points of each meridian line being in the feet, as well as being in the hands, ears and face.
The reflexologist simply works upon those end point areas a gentle pressure, with the aim of bringing those areas back to balance and therefore aiding the body to work as well as it can, stimulating the body’s natural self-healing ability.
The aim of the treatment is that it may help the body to restore its balance naturally. Usually, after a treatment any stress or tension may be reduced, and you might feel more relaxed. You may also notice that you sleep better and find you mood is lifted feeling a general sense of wellbeing.
Reflexology often has a “detoxifying” effect, as the stimulation of the energy meridian points often releases toxins, both physical and emotional.  Often after a treatment you may notice that you experience an emotional release, or it may be quite physical.  It is always best practice to stay well hydrated after a treatment to assist in this process, and to keep you more comfortable.

A Reflexology Treatment lasts for 45 minutes and the fee is £50.
